This policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for Blueland Studio's website services. It applies to anyone who pays for our services, whether through our public payment link or after signing our Website Services Agreement (the "Services Agreement"). For clients who have signed the Services Agreement, the terms of that Agreement prevail over this summary in case of any conflict.
1. Setup Fee
The Setup Fee covers our work to design, build and launch your custom website. It is charged in advance because the work begins immediately on receipt of payment.
1.1 Before work commences
If you have paid the Setup Fee but project work has not yet commenced (typically within two (2) business days of payment), you may request a full refund by emailing hello@bluelandstudio.com.au within seven (7) days of payment. Refunds are processed within five (5) business days of approval and returned to your original payment method.
1.2 After work has commenced
Once project work has commenced, the Setup Fee is non-refundable. This is because the work is custom and time-bound — discovery, design and build effort cannot be recovered. If we are unable to deliver a working website within the agreed timeline due to our fault, we will at our discretion either complete the work, extend the timeline, or refund the unearned portion of the Setup Fee in good faith.
2. Monthly Maintenance Fee
The Monthly Maintenance Fee is billed in advance for each calendar month of service.
2.1 Cancelling the Maintenance Plan
You may cancel your Monthly Maintenance Plan at any time, with no minimum commitment, by giving thirty (30) days' written notice to hello@bluelandstudio.com.au. The Monthly Maintenance Fee remains payable through the end of the 30-day notice period. After that period, the Maintenance Services cease and no further fees apply.
2.2 Refunds for already-paid months
The Monthly Maintenance Fee for the current period is non-refundable, as the services (hosting, monitoring, backups, support availability) are delivered continuously throughout the period.
3. Service-Failure Refunds
If we materially fail to provide the Maintenance Services described in your Services Agreement and do not remedy the failure within fourteen (14) days of written notice from you, you may terminate the Maintenance Plan and receive a pro-rata refund of any prepaid fees for services not delivered.
4. Out-of-Scope Work
Out-of-scope work (new pages, new features, redesigns, integrations) is quoted separately at AUD $80 per hour with a written estimate before work begins. These quotes are non-refundable once approved by you and work has commenced, on the same basis as the Setup Fee.
5. Disputed Charges
If you believe a charge has been made in error, please contact us at hello@bluelandstudio.com.au within thirty (30) days of the charge. We respond within one (1) business day and will work with you in good faith to resolve the issue before any chargeback is raised with your bank or card issuer.
6. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other legislation that cannot be excluded by contract. If a service we supply is found to be not of acceptable quality, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement or other remedy as required by law.
7. How to Request a Refund

- The business name on your account
- The date and amount of the charge
- The reason for the refund request
We respond within one (1) business day.
