FAQ

In case you were wondering.

How long does a website take? +
Seven days from when you sign and pay, for a 1–5 page site. Larger projects take 2–3 weeks.
Do I actually own the website? +
Yes. The code, the content and the domain are all yours. If you ever want to take it to another developer, I'll hand everything over with no fuss. There's no platform lock-in.
What's the $99/month for? +
Hosting on Australian infrastructure, SSL, daily backups, security monitoring, and unlimited small content updates (swap a photo, change opening hours, add a service). Bigger changes are quoted separately.
Can I cancel anytime? +
Yes, cancel any month. No exit fee. You keep the site and the domain.
Do you do more than websites? +
Yes. Integrations and custom features come with most builds (see Services for the common ones). Anything bigger than the Foundation pack is quoted per project.
Can you integrate with [Stripe / MYOB / Shopify / etc.]? +
Almost certainly yes. If a tool has a public API, I can connect it. Common ones: Stripe, MYOB, Xero, Shopify, HubSpot, Cal.com, Mailchimp, Twilio, Zapier. Mention your tool in the demo submission and I'll confirm up front.
What if I'm not technical at all? +
Most of my clients aren't. You don't need to know HTML, hosting or what DNS means. We talk about your business and your customers in plain English. I handle everything technical on my side.
How does payment work? +
For the setup fee, pay 50% upfront and 50% on launch, or 100% upfront if you prefer. Monthly care begins after the site is live. Everything is invoiced directly. No card on file.
What happens if you ever stop doing this? +
You keep everything. The site stays online on the hosting you're paying for, and you can hand it to any developer to take over. The whole stack is built on web standards (HTML, CSS, JS, standard hosting), so there's no platform lock-in.
Do you write the copy, and how many revisions do I get? +
I shape the copy with you. You give me the raw info about your business, services and customers, and I structure and edit it so it reads well and works for search. Two rounds of design revisions are included; further rounds are quoted separately.
